We were engaged by AMGEN to provide AV production for their Osteoporosis workshop, held in the recently renovated Hyatt Regency Sydney. The client wished to highlight some of the new features the venue boasted, using the timber panelling as a backdrop and maintaining the picturesque view across Darling Harbour from the windows running the length of the room. We also had the constraint of a very short turnaround time at the end of the conference, to make way for another event coming in that same evening.

This presented a couple of challenges. Keeping the view meant a lot of natural light flooding the room. To overcome this, we used our 13,000 ANSI lumens Hitachi projector for a bright 16′ wide screen, easily viewable throughout the room. To keep the new wood panel feature wall open, we had to come up with a solution to hang the event banners. 4M tall truss verticals were used to support the banners, dressed with black socks. In keeping the banner and screen supports on the ground, we were easily able to quickly remove everything from the room at the conclusion of the event.

In addition the the large plenary room which hosted keynote presentations and penel sessions, we also looked after 3 small workshop rooms of the two days of the event.  Bax Audio Visual also recorded video and audio from the event, and produced a conference video for the client to have available for further training opportunities.
